all in all, i'm really just some guy on the information superhighway

i didn't name myself after the planet venus, but considering i'm a sci-fi addict, i might as well have anyways. you can also call me arcade, there's that option too.

i kind of suck at writing about myself, but i'd say it's pretty easy to understand what i've got going on through casually browsing through this website. i think it's a lot more fun instead of having everything read out to you. but i'll continue regardless.

i really really like the colour green. did you know that? this used to change a lot, it used to be a really specific shade of purple, but for about 2 years now it's been green. i occasionally enjoy blue when the occasion calls for it [see: wheatley, blue morpho butterflies]. i'm also really drawn to any sort of neon colour, kind of like a moth of some sorts.

speaking of moths, one of my biggest interests right now are lepidoptera. it's really really obvious exactly why i've fixated so hard on them, but i've also loved bugs in general my whole life. when i was younger, i used to trap pillbugs in shitty plastic containers and feed them strawberries.

i'm a collector, and i have steadily growing collections of figures, plushies, cds, vinyls, and anything that provokes my interest. i am also extremely picky and tend to fixate on things that are more on the niche side, so i cherish every single thing i'm able to find, especially my figures.

i've also been drawing pretty much my whole life. for nearly 10 years straight, all i drew was cats, both because of warrior cats and my own cat at the time. and yet i only got properly diagnosed with autism in recent years. really should've seen this one coming from a mile away.

i think i'll forever remain a hobbyist artist, i'm kind of shit with deadlines and schedules when it comes to my art, and the concept of turning it into a job just does not appeal to me, especially with how bleak the industry is looking right now.

i mostly draw fanart as of right now, i'd love to work on more original stuff, but pretty much all of my brain capacity is in use by those damn video games and tv shows.

currently, i've been super turbo autism blasted by the adult swim show, the venture bros. you'll be seeing it pretty much everywhere on this site, as it's also my favorite show of all time. i'd reccomend giving it a watch when you get the chance, it's really really good. i will warn you though that it is an adult swim show that started in 2004, and it does come with the humor that was acceptable at the time.

^look at my weird bugs ok?

you'll also see me talk about various bands and musicians in here. my favourite band ever is talking heads, but pink floyd is defintely a close second. i've seen my chemical romance, they might be giants, devo, and new order in concert, and i could not reccomend seeing them live enough.

fun fact: i have 200+ hours in fallout 4 and i don't even really like it that much. it's like an abusive relationship in a way.

general favorites:

movies + shows: stanley kubrick films, the cornetto trilogy, black christmas (1974), true stories (1986), the saw franchise, the wall (1982), the venture bros, american dad!, trigun

games: fallout, the orange box, pokemon, metal gear solid, xeno series, splatoon, ultrakill, will you snail?

music: talking heads, pink floyd, depeche mode, duran duran, nine inch nails, my chemical romance, rinse & repeat, new order, XTC, king gizzard and the lizard wizard, ween
